1. Is this job sustainable?
If you find yourself in a situation in which it’s emotionally, physically, or even mentally draining for you to show up to work—you need to leave. It might due to a number of things but if your job is destroying your personal time then you that it’s time to get out. It’s important to keep your career momentum up so if this particular job is not motivating enough…RUN!
2. Can this job further my professional development?
A job shouldn’t just be a pay-check. It supposed to be helping you gain skills, experiences and knowledge so you can further your career. So, if you find yourself in a situation where you are more likely falling behind then growing it’s time to move on.
3. Can I do better?
If you think you can get a better job whether it be hours, pay, experience then you’ve got to start looking for that better job. It might sound easy to answer this but a lot of people pass up opportunities because of fear or self-doubt.
Just remember that you don’t owe any company anything. If you’re offered a job that will offer you more and further your own development then GRAB IT! After all it’s your life and your health!
